Bellow is a clip of one of te footage I took while I was at the location. This is a clip of Connor doing the lipping from the track that will be used in the music video. Ken walks off and Connor notices where he is going. Ken gets attacked, then Connor goes to help. Then Connor gets attacked as well after Ken runs off. This is where Ken and Connor become zombies.

On Thursday March 14th, I went to the location and took footage of the set up, what was going on. Before we went there, I took a few preparation footage as well. The video I am showing below is a small clip I put together, so you can see what kind of footage I was taking from campus, where the preparation took place (makeup), and at the location. There were a few take of each scene.

Bellow is just a screen shot of the project of this mini clip.

Post 3

On Thursday 14th, I will be helping with the filming of the Zombie music video. I will be helping with the lighting, and doing some taping to document what is going on.
Lately, these past three classes, I have been taking footage of the discussion of the organisation of the music video.

Below is a clip of one of my clips. This is a video of Tim working on his storyboards (more videos to come this week).

Post 1

For the group project, which is the zombie Music Video, I will be the camera guy for the behind the scenes and the editor. I will also be helping with the lighting with Karl. I want to make a documentary of the process of making the music video. I will show the costume process of the zombies; the scene setup, and how it is going to be filmed as well.

Post 2

I have been looking at some examples of documentaries of music video making. Below are a couple of ideas I have been thinking of when I make the documentary:

What I want to show is how it's been al put together. I will also show some performance as well as the process.
This week I took more footage for the documentary of the progress of the music video. I have footage of the the Storyboarding progress (though I just showed Tim working, and you don't see much of what he is doing. I will probably interview him and his work at some point. But for now I will concentrate on the making of the Music Video.

For my group project, I choose long exposure. I think there may be different types to long exposure other than "street lights" and "painting with lights". Painting with light is something I have never done before, so I would like to try that out. This project will be compatible for anyone in Cinematic arts, Photography, and Fashion majors. This project will show preparation for this type of photography, and other things that are needed to be prepared, like the clothing. These photos will be inside a studio. First they will  experiment with the light, and then get to taking the real thing. When the photos are taken, the photographer will put it onto his/her computer and will fix the photos up, by editing them till they look right. The best photos, probably about 10, will be printed and then framed. These photos will be displayed in a gallery for people to see.

Here are some examples that I found that are close to what I am thinking of:

Bellow I have photos of a wrist and someone's hand. After I had my photos shot, I took a picture of the figures using the same macro lense:

A car on a hill

Toy car

To achieve the shots of the figure and the car, I folded a sheet of paper. I took some blue tack and put two pieces on the bottom corners and mounted it on the table, then one in the top middle mounted onto a plastic cup filled with water. After that, I place the subjects onto the paper giving a plane background to select them easily in photoshop and paste them onto a background. I then modified the pasted objects to match the lighting and where it's focused.

This final image above, I added more things to the same image as before.
What I would like to do differently is use proper figures, ones that look like people, and take the photo as they are set on the landscape instead of adding them by using photoshop. I would also like to use them in real landscape, instead of on a part of a body.

I have never done anything like this with photos before, so this is a new technique I have learnt with taking pictures. I also enjoyed this project. I like the idea of figure as landscape, as it plays with the sense of scale.
